Key Responsibilities

  • Process and handle Trade Finance products, including Import/Export documentation, Letter of Credit (LC) issuance, and Import Financing transactions
  • Ensure all transactions and assigned tasks are processed in accordance with operating procedures, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Support smooth day-to-day operations and ensure transactions are completed within stipulated Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Ensure operational duties are performed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Adhere to department SOPs, bank policies, internal controls, and operational guidelines
  • Escalate operational risk incidents promptly and appropriately
  • Provide quality customer service by managing client queries effectively and offering solutions or recommendations related to trade finance matters
  • Liaise with clients to clarify unclear instructions and obtain complete documentation prior to transaction execution
  • Manage daily workflow efficiently to meet and exceed customer expectations
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiency enhancements
  • Conduct transaction monitoring and follow-up on end-to-end processing for structured trade deals
  • Provide regular transaction status updates to Structured Trade Middle Office (STMO) and relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with STMO, Business Units, GTS, and other internal stakeholders on daily operational activities
  • Handle filing, archival of bills, courier manifest preparation, and document enveloping activities

 

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Banking, Finance, Business, or related disciplines
  • At least 1 year of experience in Trade Finance Operations, Banking Operations, or related financial services roles
  • Knowledge of Trade Finance products and processes, including LC issuance, import/export documentation, and financing transactions
  • Familiarity with sanctions screening, compliance checks, and operational risk controls is advantageous
  • Keen attention to detail with the ability to manage high transaction volumes accurately
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
